Every smile starts with a complimentary consultation!

Your complimentary consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, as well as, learn more about orthodontics. During your consultation you will receive a complete oral exam, a copy of your digital photos, review your treatment and financial options. During your complimentary consultation, Dr. Alan Carr will:

• Review your dental and medical history forms.
• Provide a complete oral exam including a Panelipse X-ray as needed.
• Help you create a customized treatment plan.
• Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans.

What happens after the initial consultation?

If treatment is indicated at this time, the next step will be to obtain the necessary diagnostic records. The orthodontic records are required to determine the best treatment for your particular situation. Records consist of study models (molds of your teeth) and two types of X-Rays . Following the diagnostic records an appointment will be set in one to two weeks for placement of the appliances. In some situations, separators will be inserted to create sufficient space for the orthodontic bands. Typically, this appointment is no longer than one hour, and then you're on your way toward your new smile!

Scheduling Appointments

Visiting the orthodontist every 4-8 weeks is an important part of your orthodontic treatment. Regular checkups last between 15-30 minutes. Our staff will work with you to make sure that your appointments are convenient for you and your family. We at Dr. Carr’s pride ourselves in staying on schedule and accommodating our patients.

We understand that "life happens," so if you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know. We will do everything we can to accommodate you with a new appointment. Visiting the dentist during orthodontic treatment

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months for cleanings, even during your orthodontic treatment.  If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
